ENGL 100 Enhanced English Composition I

This course is designed to give students guided practice in critical reading, pre-writing, drafting, revising, and editing essays. It offers an extra hour for necessary developmental writing instruction and individualized support toward the creation of college-level essays. Collaboration in the writing process is stressed. Research techniques, library orientation, and oral presentation of student writing are also included. Research paper required.
NOTE: This course satisfies the English Composition I requirement. Credit can only be received for one of the following: ENGL 100 Enhanced English, ENGL 101 English Composition I , ENGL 107 Honors Composition I or ESLS 101 English Composition I for English as a Second Language Students .
