ECCE 122 Guidance of Young ChildrenThis course is an examination of appropriate guidance techniques for young children. The needs of children in the areas of nutrition, health, sleeping, toileting and self-help skills will be examined in relation to program routines and the crucial elements of the learning environment. Students will learn how to observe systematically and record children’s development by completing an in-depth study of one child within their field placement. Open only to matriculated Early Childhood students. NOTE: Students will need to obtain a flash drive to be used in the construction of their e-portfolio.
