ECMN 102 Alternating Current TheoryThis course is a continuation of ECMN 101 . The focus of the course is on the concepts associated with the generation and application of alternating current systems. The course covers concepts of magnetism, electromagnetic induction, inductance, capacitance, and alternating current circuits. Subject matter including construction and operation of capacitors, inductors, single- and three-phase wire systems, three-phase power systems and transmission and distribution systems are also covered throughout this course. Open only to matriculated Electrical Construction and Maintenance students. Pre-requisite(s): ECMN 101 Direct Current Theory . Co-requisite(s): MATH 106 Applied Technical Mathematics II and ECMN 112 Alternating Current Applications Laboratory .
