The Bookkeeping microcredential includes a set of for-credit accounting courses to provide a student with the skills required to pursue entry level Bookkeeping jobs. These courses can help students gain specific career skills and become more attractive to employers. Microcredentials may be used as an entryway to a degree or certificate at the college or as a standalone verified
credential that you can use to start or grow your career.
Microcredentials are noted on student transcripts, simlar to how a degree or certificate is recognized. In addition, students earn digital “badges” of completion for each microcredential through Credly, the largest digital credential network.
All courses would transfer into the stackable accounting microcredential, the Accounting Certificate and the Accounting AAS program. Courses also transfer very well with the established articulation agreements in place.
