POLS 101 Introduction to International PoliticsThis course is designed to introduce students to the basic theories and concepts essential to international politics. Topics include the emergence of the state, realism and idealism, nationalism, democracy, war, anarchy, power and the balance of power between states, globalization, and the influence of nuclear weapons. Some attention will be devoted to political science research methods.
