CHEM 210 Organic Chemistry IThis is a course suitable for science and engineering majors. The preparation, characterization and reactions of the various functional classes of organic compounds are discussed and correlated with the theoretical principles underlying organic reactions. The laboratory portion is used to develop basic organic laboratory techniques and to incorporate instrumental techniques such as infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and gas chromatography. Pre-requisite(s): CHEM 111 General Chemistry II or CHEM 121 Chemistry II .
