ENGL 107 Honors Composition IIn this course, students will improve their writing ability concentrating on the writing process: prewriting, writing, revision and editing. Other concerns of the writer, particularly audience and style, will be addressed. Students will study the essay as an art form: a vehicle for creative expression, historical record, social commentary, and analytical thought. They will also explore the use of technology to enhance communication. Research techniques and MLA and APA documentation styles will be addressed within the context of a research paper. An oral presentation is required. Open to students enrolled in the honors track of the Liberal Arts and Science Program or by permission of department chair. NOTE: This course satisfies the English Composition I requirement. Credit can only be received for one of the following: ENGL 101 English Composition I , ENGL 107, Honors Composition I or ESLS 101 English Composition I For the Foreign Born .
