MUSC 110 Music in World CulturesThis course examines how the music of diverse world cultures is inseparable from their respective communities: their history, ideas, languages, social behavior, economies, religion, ethnicities, and material culture. Students are introduced to music cultures through an analysis of rhythm, meter, melody and harmony. No prior knowledge of music is required.
