RESP 205 Diseases of The Cardiopulmonary SystemThis course deals with a number of specific pulmonary diseases such as asthma, pulmonary emphysema, adult respiratory distress syndrome, congenital anomalies and others. The short-term and long-term treatment of the condition is covered. Special emphasis is given to the role of the respiratory care practitioner in the management of these conditions. Open only to matriculated Respiratory Care students. Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 139 Anatomy and Physiology for Respiratory Care Students with a final grade of “C” or better and RESP 110 Human Anatomy and Physiology with a final grade of “C” or better.
