The Associate of Arts degree in Media Studies is designed for students who want to explore the diverse and dynamic field of media arts. This program offers a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of media production, analysis, and criticism. Students will learn about various forms of media, such as film, television, radio, podcasting, digital media, and more. They will also develop skills in digital arts, such as graphic design, video editing, and web development. The program prepares students for a seamless transfer to four-year colleges and universities, where they can pursue a bachelor’s degree in media studies or related disciplines. Alternatively, students can enter the workforce with a solid foundation in media arts and a portfolio of creative work. Graduates of this program can pursue career opportunities in media industries, such as journalism, advertising, public relations, entertainment, education, and social media.
