EDUC 110 Foundations of Education in AmericaThis course is designed for students having an interest in education as a field of study. The course will familiarize students with the history and functions of educational institutions as well as issues that impact students and teachers in learning settings from birth - grade 12. Students will explore the social factors, values, knowledge structures and technologies influencing curriculum and instruction. NOTE: Up to 30 hours of unsupervised field experience also required in this course.
