The final credential focuses on special areas of treatment and assessment. A second internship with the successful completion of 168 field hours in an approved OASAS facility and seminar are also required. Additionally this credential focuses on working with diverse populations and understanding the social and cultural norms associated with addictions. Content focuses on developing a foundation for cultural competence and developing the ability to adjust assessment and treatment planning to cultural characteristics of clients.
Within the seminar setting students will be provided supervision related to their field experience.
