THEA 130 Introduction to Technical TheatreThis course is a hands-on examination of the fundamentals of stage craft and the technical elements of a production. Topics include the identification, safe handling, proper use and coordination of theatre architecture, scenery and stage components, and materials and tools. Students will learn set, properties (“props” such as furniture, personal and decorative items) and costume construction techniques, rigging techniques, lighting instrument installation, and operation and production organization and etiquette.
