BIOL 205 MicrobiologyThis course provides an introduction to microorganisms, emphasizing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa, and their interrelationship with other biological sciences, medicine and public health. Laboratory periods are for learning practical uses of the microscope, staining techniques, growth media, control of microbial growth, and biochemical tests. High school biology and chemistry or equivalent recommended.
