CNST 210 Steel ConstructionIn this course, students will study steel construction methods, steel detailing, and erection and design. It also covers design and analysis of steel beams, tension and compression members, and an introduction to the theory of connections. Students will participate in the erection of a pre-fabricated structural steel building as part of the class. NOTE: Students should contact the department to determine which pre-requisite would be appropriate based on career goals. Pre-requisite(s): CIVL 112 Statics and Strength of Materials or CNST 110 Statics and Strength of Materials with a grade of “C” or higher in either course.
