MFTS 261 Advanced Machining Processes Lab III, Part IThis course is a continuation of Machine Tools/CNC Theory Lab II. Stressed in this course are advanced planning skills, set-up, fabrication, quality control techniques and process documentation of all assigned parts produced on but not limited to manual/computerized mills and lathes, vertical/horizontal saws, etc. Also emphasized is the practical theory and application behind the concept, design, fabrication, set-up and utilization of fixtures used in the fabrication of, but not limited to, various shafts, cylinders, flywheels, etc. Exposure to canned/packaged computerized machine tool programs and carbide tooling will also be stressed. Pre-requisite(s): MFTS 104 Machine Tool/CNC Theory and Lab II or MFTS 174 Machine Tool/CNC Theory and Lab II Part II .
