HITC 107 Health Information ManagementThis course covers basic concepts and techniques for managing and maintaining health record systems. Topics include health record content, qualitative and quantitative analysis, format, record control, storage, retention, forms design/control, indices and registers, and numbering and filing systems. Students will be introduced to the various functions performed in a health record department with emphasis on maintaining confidentiality of patient data.
