PSYC 235 Positive PsychologyThis course focuses on the science of happiness and personal effectiveness, with a focus on the empirical study of well being. The scientific study of happiness will include how to define and objectively measure happiness, genetic influences, cultural and environmental influences, neurological influences, behavioral and cognitive influences as well as the systematic study of how to influence life satisfaction. Content is addressed through readings, class lecture and discussion, writing assignments and experiential activities. Pre-requisite(s): PSYC 100 General Psychology .
