ENTR 150 Legal Issues in EntrepreneurshipThis course covers the legal issues faced by entrepreneurs in starting a new business and focuses on issues that arise in the creation, management, and operation of a business. Discussion will cover organizational structure, funding, contracts, labor and employment issues, sales of goods and services, credit issues, operational liabilities and insurance, intellectual property rights, and exit strategies. In completing this course, students, as prospective entrepreneurs, will develop an understanding of the legal concepts that are an integral part of decision making from the time an entrepreneur conceives, starts to build, and obtains financing through the development of exit strategies. Students will be prepared to meet the legal challenges and opportunities they can expect to encounter as entrepreneurs.
