The Forensic Science Studies Microcredential will provide students with core courses which will help them determine if they want to pursue the AS program, which is an interdisciplinary degree designed for those who want to find careers as forensic science lab technicians.
Students will learn how to apply scientific principles to physical evidence.
Forensic scientists work primarily in laboratories, and many recent graduates of the program have found employment at the NY State Police Forensics Investigation Center. The program has dedicated laboratory facilities on campus.
