The Introduction to Supervision Microcredential establishes the fundamentals necessary to provide the student with the skills to solve business-oriented problems and prepares the student for employment in entry-level managerial positions. Students will explore the management functions of organizing,including planning, staffing, directing, and controlling; social responsibility; the effect of multicultural diversity in the workplace; and leadership styles and motivational theories. They will also explore the theory and methods of the supervisory process, organization and management and be an effectivecommunicator. The Microcredential in stackable by providing additional modules to enhance a student’s skills within the business management and supervisor field with each module providing more advanced courses. All courses except forPADM 180 can be transferred to the Business Administration AAS program.

This is a stackable Microcredential with students taking the Advanced Supervision Microcredential  , followed by the Advanced Supervision Microcredential. Key courses for the Introduction to Supervision include Principles of Supervision, Organization and Management, and Business Communications. The Supervision Microcredentials can be met through either full- or part-time study and through day and online offerings.
